Project Description

Amoy couture Hair mobile application will allow the users to browse through a variety of hairstyles and see how a particular hairstyle looks on them. This would be achieved by asking a user to upload an image of them, marking the facial dimensions in that picture and applying different hairstyles to check them out. The users can then order the extensions they like directly through the app. The app is also be accompanied by an admin panel where the client would be able to upload new hairstyle extensions and manage already uploaded extensions etc. Below is a detailed description of the app.
Selecting Photos
The users would be able to select a photo which they want to test a hairstyle on. They can also take a new photo to use by using the front camera of their device. We will use different feature extraction and matching techniques. Based on this approximation we will show outlines of the detected regions to the users where they can make adjustments if required. This feature will enable them to get to extension testing part without much hassle. There will be some photos of models available in the app which the users can use if they don't want to use their own photo.
Selecting Extensions
After selecting a photo, the users would be able to select a hairstyle category. The hairstyles would be categorized based on gender which means there would be hairstyles for both men and women. After selecting the main category the users would be able to select a sub-category (optional upon clients'discretion). After this step, the users would see different hairstyles which they can select and check how it looks on them.
Checking out an Extension
The users can check different extensions out by applying them on their head. The app would use image processing techniques explained later in this document for this purpose. The users would also be able to select different hair lengths and different textures to apply on hair.
Sharing on Social Media
The users would be able to share a particular extension or their photo with a particular hairstyle applied on them that they like on Social Media such as Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Whatsapp, Instagram etc.
Ordering an Extension
The users would be able to order an extension that they like by entering their delivery and payment options etc. The app would support popular payment methods such as Paypal, Credit Card etc.
